Agree, this season soundtrack is different, the lack of Badalamenti music was quite a disappointment for me, at first...
but now, I love the sound atmosphere of S3. And maybe Bee will hear more Badalamenti in the next episodes...

I didn't know about the Chromatics, but hey, they are interesting, some Julee Cruise's vibe in "Shadow".

Can't wait to watch part 5 (I will today).

And of course, I pre-ordered the soundtrack on Amazon <3

Twin Peaks Original Soundtrack featuring "Solo Waltz," "Laura Palmer's Theme," "Dark Moon Woods," and "The Red Room" is available for pre-order.

Showtime put the wrong link (it leads to the other soundtrack) so we can't preorder anything, actually. And the album is not showing on Amazon or iTunes.

But they confirmed two songs in Twitter already, Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room and Solo Waltz, both of them, composed by Badalamenti for the first series.

Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room was the used on S02E29 everytime somebody entered to the Black Lodge through Glastonbury Grove. It was used for the Log Lady intros too. It was part of the 2007 soundtrack (Twin Peaks season two, music and more).
Solo Waltz (aka Solo Percussion or Grady's waltz) was used only in the first season, when Cooper shows the tibetan rock-throwing method. Played by Grady Tate.

Not part of the official soundtrack but related.. Chrysta Bell (our beloved Tammy Preston) recorded a very beautiful version of Falling.
